MyTok Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-30
MyTok is an audio/video calling marketplace for India. This policy describes what data we collect and how we use it.
Data we collect
- Account: anonymous device ID (used to create and restore your account). No email/password required.
- Profile: gender, avatar choice, language, age range/interests (optional), display name (auto-generated). You may attach a phone number.
- Voice verification: if you opt to become a listener, you may record a short verification phrase. The audio clip is stored securely on our servers under a random UUID filename and is never publicly accessible. It is used only to verify eligibility and is deleted if rejected.
- Calls: call metadata (participants, duration, mode audio/video), for billing and safety. Audio/video content passes through Agora RTC; we do not record call content by default.
- Payments: purchases are made via Google Play Billing. We receive a purchase token and verify it with Google Play; we do not store your card details.
- Safety: reports and blocks you submit are stored for moderation.
How we use data
- Provide matching and calling
- Bill per minute (server-authoritative ledger)
- Prevent abuse and enforce strikes/bans
- Comply with legal obligations
Sharing
- We do not sell personal data.
- Call media is routed peer-to-peer via Agora per call session; our servers coordinate signaling/tokens.
- Payment verification uses Google Play APIs.
Data retention & deletion
- You can request deletion via in-app Delete Account. We anonymize personal identifiers, delete voice verification clips and blocks, rotate credentials, and retain minimal transaction/ledger/purchase/call history records as required by law/accounting — these retained records contain no PII.
- Voice clips are deleted on rejection or on account deletion.
Security
- Data in transit is encrypted (TLS). Tokens are stored in platform secure storage.
- Ledger is the source of truth for balances.
